The Beach, the perfect wine, and no Wifi šŸ™Š

Yesterday, I found the perfect wine for me šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I popped it in our wee campervan fridge to chill šŸ˜Š

We’ve spent the last 2 days at Wainui beach, body boarding and digging in the sand.. I think I have seriously found my heaven. Sid too.

Wainui Beach is about 10 minutes from Gisborne, it’s a stunning green and blue ocean view with amazing, rolling waves. I could happily park the camper here and just not move for a few years. If I win the lottery, eh šŸ˜Š

We drove to a spectacularly remote spot to camp for the night (Opoutama), took some more Fush n Chups to the beach and dug in for the night. Once we’d set up and cracked the vino I realised we were so remote that there was absolutely no Wifi and not even phone signal šŸ˜®

The kids were fine, it was me that suffered withdrawals šŸ™ˆ

They made do with a few sticks and a lot of imagination…

It was very weird being off grid for the night! If anyone has watched Wolf Creek (Thanks Kim šŸ˜‚) you’ll understand why I heard every car and every noise outside šŸ™ˆ

But we survived šŸ˜ even me, with no Wifi šŸ˜‚

And we set off to beautiful Napier…. We nearly made it, we were about 20 minutes away when Sid (who had drunk far too much blackcurrant) decided to hurl šŸ™Š

Looking for a spot to pull over to while negotiating mountainous roads is not fun.

Sid was fine. In fact he was so fine that he ate the rest of the crisps for the last leg of the journey.

Hello beautiful Napier… ā¤
